Our Veterinarians

Dr. Julia Stricker Esposito
Practice Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Julia Esposito quite literally grew up here at Clermont Animal Hospital. Her father, the hospital’s founder, renovated a side-by-side apartment building and turned half of it into the family’s home and the other half into his own veterinary clinic. Dr. Esposito was only four years old when she was put to work answering phones, taking messages, and helping in the exam rooms! She’s been caring for the area’s pets and animal owners here at the hospital ever since. Now, she’s proud to carry on her father’s legacy as the owner, operator, and chief veterinarian.

Dr. Esposito was born in Auburn, Alabama during her father’s time in veterinary school. She started volunteering here at the clinic at the age of 10, and was put on the payroll by the time she was 15. After graduating high school, she headed to Northern Kentucky University to study biology and chemistry, earning her Bachelor’s degree in 1998.

Next, Dr. Esposito was accepted into Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, continuing to work as a Veterinary Assistant here at Clermont Animal Hospital during summers and school breaks, and earned her Doctorate in 2002. Dr. Esposito completed a rotating small- and exotic-animal internship at Animal Medical Center in New York City, then returned to Clermont Animal Hospital as an Associate Veterinarian. She became a partner in 2006, and took over full ownership after her father’s passing in 2018.

Dr. Esposito especially loves the variety of animals she gets to treat—on any given day, she might have a monkey in one exam room, a bird in the next, and a wild raccoon in another! She’s also fond of learning new things on a continual basis, and she loves to pass on her knowledge and skills through the power of education. To date, five of her student-employees have gone on to become veterinarians themselves, and dozens of other students and mentees have become Veterinary Technicians.

Away from work, Dr. Esposito likes reading, scrapbooking, staying active in her church and her sons’ Cub Scout pack, coaching her older son’s soccer team, and spending quality time with her family and pets at home. She and her husband have two boys, Joe and Michael, and share their lives with three animal companions: Roxie, a Siberian Husky who refuses to go on a walk unless Dr. Esposito’s husband comes along, and two loveable but mischievous cats who go by Minerva and Weasley.
Dr. Ariana Bolan
Associate Veterinarian
Dr. Ariana Bolan was 10 years old when her family got their first puppy, a Black Labrador named Shadow. Inspired by Shadow and her other household pets over the next few years, Dr. Bolan started volunteering at the local Humane Society. It was there that she realized she wanted to be a permanent fixture in the community of people that help animals and those that love them—veterinary medicine was the perfect path for her! Dr. Bolan hasn’t looked back since.

Dr. Bolan hails from Centerville, Ohio and attended Wright State University for her undergraduate studies, shadowing at local veterinary clinics and working as a Kennel Attendant at the same time. She also volunteered at the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, and would later become an employee during her senior year. Next, Dr. Bolan gained acceptance into Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine—she graduated in 2015 and has been helping pets as a licensed veterinarian ever since.

When the time came to expand her professional horizons, Dr. Bolan decided to look for a new opportunity. Clermont Animal Hospital was the perfect fit! She joined the team in November of 2020 as an Associate Veterinarian, and looks forward to indulging her fascination with reptile pets and other exotic animals as a member of the clinic family. Dr. Bolan particularly enjoys surgical procedures, and she’s also fond of working with fearful or nervous animals to make their visits as positive as possible.

Outside of work, Dr. Bolan’s interests include hiking, reading and writing, playing video games, fostering cats—she’s fostered over 50 cats to date since starting in 2010!—and loving on her own pets at home. She and her husband, Corey, share their lives with several animal companions, most of whom were former patients of Dr. Bolan’s: Guthrie, a three-legged German Shepherd/Doberman mix; four cats named Cerise, Tiger Lily, Elincia, and Serenity; two guinea pigs who go by Leon and Luna, and a leopard gecko named Rudania.
